Recycling Glass in Chile

In this post I provide the steps to follow in order to recycle glass, as well as supporting images of some of the types of glass that can and cannot be recycled, as indicated by the Ministry of Environment's website.

These are the instructions to recycle glass:

1. Remove labels and cap.

2. Rinse and dry.

3. Deposit in the corresponding container.

Below are some of the products that can be recycled. Notice that each recycling point might receive specific products.

Glasses

WARNING: do NOT include any of the following glass products:

Windscreens

Windows

Mirrors

Light bulbs

Fluorescent tubes

Crockery

Pyrex glasses

Crystals

Tempered glass
